Work With Michelle

I don't hand you a plan.
I run the play with you.

And it's all in scope. Revenue. Margin. Customers. Culture.

Most fractional executives do one job. I take the whole picture: revenue on one side, operations on the other, and the connective work in between that nobody owns because it was never anyone's job. I assess what needs attention, size what it's costing you, and we work through it one area at a time, building momentum you and your team can feel.

Every engagement is scoped in options built around your goals and your budget, so you know the number going in and the return we're targeting. I drive the work alongside your team, and what I build stays with you. That's the whole point.

All companies leak. In 25 years I have never seen one without upside waiting to be found and costs waiting to be contained.
The only question is how much.
The Experience

What it's like to work with me.

Speed

I'm useful in weeks, not quarters. You'll have specifics before most people would have finished onboarding.

Customers

I look at your business through your customer. They'll tell you where the money is going long before your P&L does.

Culture

Culture isn't the soft part of this work, it's the delivery mechanism. Teams that trust each other hand off cleanly.

Simplicity

If I can't explain it to the person who has to do it, it isn't finished.

Judgment

Sometimes that's new software. More often it's the thing you already own, used properly.

Communication

You'll always know what's moving, what's stuck, and what I need from you. No surprises in either direction.

Documentation

If it only lives in someone's head, it isn't a system. It gets written down.

Organization

Order without bureaucracy. Named owners, a real cadence, nothing that doesn't earn its place.

How We Work Together

Let's look at your business, what you want to accomplish, and find out if we can get there together.

01

The Intro Call

We talk through your business:

  • You talk, I listen: what you want to achieve, and what's standing in the way
  • My honest first take: what I see, and whether a deeper look is worth it
  • A clear next step: if it makes sense, we book the working session. If not, we part friends.
02

The 4-Hour Working Session

Half a day with me and the people who actually know how your business runs. We map the customer journey, put your data next to it, and I name what I see. You leave knowing three things:

  • The opportunities worth going after, sized in dollars
  • What the work would take: which of your people, how much of their time
  • Whether I'm the right fit. If I'm not, I'll tell you.

If I don't find you an opportunity worth more than what you paid, I refund it. I have never had to. And the cost is credited toward whatever we do next.

03

The Engagement

From here there are two doors, and the session tells us which one you actually need.

  • The 90-Day Diagnostic & Pilot Sprint: a defined project rather than a relationship. I go deep, size what the business is losing and what growth is unclaimed, and hand you the plan and the priorities in the order I would work them. Then we run a pilot sprint on the highest-return item, so you see real movement against the baseline instead of taking my word for it. You keep the execution from there. Three-month minimum.
  • Fractional COO: I stay and run the work with your team. Six-month minimum. Most clients stay longer.

Either way: scope comes back in options so you choose the depth and pace that fit your budget, targets and deliverables are written into the agreement, and your key people learn the work so they own the gains after I'm gone.

Typical engagements return 3 to 10 times the investment.
The Rhythm

What a month actually looks like.

The most common question I get is what this feels like week to week. Here it is, plainly.

Every week

A working session with the leaders who own the moving pieces. Not a status update. We decide something.

Every week

Time inside your numbers. I'd rather find it in the data on Monday than hear about it three weeks later.

Every month

A written view of what changed, what it was worth, and what's stuck. Usually I need a decision, not a project.

In between

I'm reachable. If something breaks on a Tuesday, it doesn't wait for the next call.

Throughout

Your people do the work with me, not watch me do it. That's why the gains stay after I leave.

Before We Start

What I'll need from you.

This work only goes well under certain conditions. I'd rather say them out loud now than discover them in month two.

Access

To your data, and to the people who know what it actually means. I can't size an opportunity I'm not allowed to look at.

Honesty

About what's really happening, including the parts that are uncomfortable. Especially those. Nothing you tell me will surprise me.

Authority

To make the changes we agree on together. I can't fix what I'm only allowed to describe, and neither can you.

Six months, minimum

That's simply how long it takes to know whether a change is going to hold. Most clients stay longer.

A little of your time

Not much, and rarely on short notice. When I come to you it's almost always for a decision only you can make.

Willingness to be wrong

Yours and mine. Sometimes the problem you hired me for turns out not to be the problem. That's a good day, not a bad one.

"$200K a year of incremental revenue."
"What she delivered is what most consultants promise and almost none produce: a prioritized plan with the dollars attached, captured with the people and technology we already had. No new headcount. No new tools. Michelle learned the business incredibly fast and delivered value almost immediately."

Let's find out if we're a fit.

Bring me your situation. The number that won't move, the handoff that keeps failing, the quarter that got away. In 30 minutes you'll get a straight read on what I see, what it's likely costing you, and whether I'm the right person to help.

No pitch. No pressure. Come as you are. Bring the mess.
